The FURminator is used to remove the loose undercoat to stop it becoming matted and tangled with the top coat. It does not cut or damage the top coat when used.
The Furminator for short hair would be suitable for your dog's coat but you would just need to make sure that you introduce her to it slowly. I personally also avoid their lower legs and take extra care around bony bits as there is less fur between the teeth and skin. If you can teach her to be comfortable with it, the Furminator would be a really useful tool to have. I hope this helps!

If your dog isn't keen on being groomed or has sensitive skin, it might be worth trying some other grooming aids before resorting to the Furminator. That’s where the Furminator comes in. It promises to reduce shedding better than any other brush, comb or rake. By removing the undercoat and loose hair, but does it really do that?
