I’d like to try the Garnier Fructis Moisture Works Fortifying Shampoo

Garnier Fructis is one of my favourite hair care brands, and I decided to try its Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner 2 in 1, for times when I didn't have enough time to both shampoo and condition my hair. Here are my views on it:

On a really brilliant offer in my super market, this product was sold for the bargain price of £1.50; a very good price as it costs much more to buy from your local drug store for example Superdrug and Boots. Do remember that this price is all inclusive, as I like to say, because when you have used this product, you need not purchase a separate conditioner, so all in all I believe this is a really good value product.

This 2 in one shampoo and conditioner was useful and easy to use; because I was unsure whether to apply on the roots of my hair like a shampoo or on the tips like conditioner... I did both. It worked quite sufficiently- my hair felt fresher and much more nourished, it was easier to brush through and I noticed that my hair was satisfyingly soft and volumised. However, I would like to point out that, though it is visibly better than other 2 for 1 shampoo and conditioner products I had previously tried, I got far better results just using Garnier Fructis' shampoo separately, and then using its conditioner afterwards. The results I got whilst using this is by no means bad- in fact it is noticeably good- but if you want really nice hair then I would recommend using the two separate products.

This shampoo has a delicious, refreshing fruity smell (coming, I am guessing, from the 'Fructis' part of the product name and the grapefruit extractt) that is neither sickening nor too strong- the perfect combination. The pleasant smell lingers in your hair throughout the day, though not too noticeably like perfume. The feel of this 2 in one is a kind of creamy gel that feels pleasant against both my finger and my scalp.

This is a lovely product, well worth using especially if you come across a good offer! As stated above, it is not quite as effective as using Garnier Fructis' shampoo and conditioner combined (though the overall effect is still very commendable) but you have to remember the time this saves you when you're in a rush- you can have lovely hair in half the time. 4.5 stars if I could, but 4 for the time being.

When I was packing my labour / hospital bag for when I was expecting my daughter I wanted to include a few toiletries, but I didn't want to have to cart around more than was necessary. Despite not usually buying a combination shampoo and conditioner I thought on this occasion it would lighten the load and make using a cramped hospital shower all that easier with having less to carry and less to fit in with me.

No shower has ever felt better than the shower I had after giving birth and even the worst shampoo and conditioner would probably have seemed like a luxury, but the Garnier Fructis 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner was far from that. The Garnier Fructis 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner lathered well and left my hair feeling soft, brushable and healthy. I do have what would be classified as a 'normal' hair type but I was still a little concerned that a combination product would leave my hair a little on the greasy side, but it didn't. In fact the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner left my hair in as good a condition as if I had shampooed and conditioned separately.

The Garnier Fructis 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner smells nice, but nothing special and doesn't quite compare in fragrance to some of the more expensive brands, but it is pleasant if not just a little generic and forgettable. The Garnier Fructis 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is a pearly white colour and has quite a thick texture - it looks and feels more like a conditioner than a typical shampoo. Overall, I have been very happy with it and so far it has never failed to leave my hair in good condition. But I wouldn't use this product on too regular a basis because although it leaves my hair clean and shiny in the short term I do feel like I need a separate tailored shampoo and conditioner for the best results.

I really like the Garnier Fructis 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, in fact it has turned out to be a regular in my bathroom and although I don't use it all the time for those days that I am in a rush it is a perfect, fast and quick option. If and when I ever get back to going to a gym then this combination shampoo and conditioner would be ideal.

At the moment that majority of Garnier Fructis shampoos and conditioners are available from most supermarkets including Asda and retail for around £1. The packaging is nice and functional and what you would expect.

From me the Fructis Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner gets four out of five stars, and I would personally highly recommended it. Especially for those days when you are in a rush or when you want to carry less toiletries around with you. It is a nice alternative hair product and although I wouldn't switch it for my favourite separate shampoo and conditioner it has left my hair in good condition and looking healthy with minimal fuss. .09 after coupon stack!
